Little House Christmas
On Friday we went to go see Little House Christmas at Legacy Theater. The characters were Laura, Ma, Pa, Uncle George, Nellie, Mrs. Nelson, Mary, Peter, Nick, and Mr. Edwards. My favorite part was when Mr. Edwards gave them gifts because the creek was too high for Santa to get to their house. This part was the only part that was like the book. It was different because more family members came for Christmas. Have a Merry Christmas!

December

December is a very important month to me. On Christmas we give gifts because Jesus was the greatest gift of all. We have parties because December 25 was Jesus's birthday. That is important because Jesus is our savior. My birthday is December 20. I like it in December because I don't have to wait long for Christmas. I accepted Christ on December 24. I liked that because I got to do communion that night. I love Christmas!

Art
I have been doing a lot of art lately. First I made a cornucopia. Then I made vegetables to go inside the cornucopia for Thanksgiving. Then I made place tags so people would know where to sit on Thanksgiving. How do you decorate for Thanksgiving?

I also did an art class. In the first class we made either mugs, vases, or a little rattle toy. In the second class we painted what we made. I made a mug, and I am giving it as a Christmas gift. I like art.

Food

I am thankful for a lot of food. You need food to live because food has water, and vitamins and minerals. I am grateful because we have enough money to go out to eat. In addition I am happy because we have snacks for when we get hungry, and we have enough money to go to the grocery store when we run out of food. My favorite food is pizza. What is yours?

My Favorite Friend

I am thankful for God and Jesus. They can do anything they want because of the power of Christ. In addition they can heal any sickness. God and Jesus are important to me because they live in my heart and are always right beside me. I am grateful because they have the power to raise people from the dead, and they listen to my prayers. I am very, very thankful for God and Jesus!

Brian McCann
On Saturday I got to meet Brian McCann at a clinic that I won in a contest. First I got to hit. Second I got to work on playing in the infield. Third I got private time with Mr. McCann. He helped me with hitting. He told me not to drop my back shoulder. Mr. McCann was nice and helpful. Last I got to work on playing in the outfield. I love baseball and Brian McCann!
Indian Pow Wow
On Friday I went to Stone Mountain to see an Indian Pow Wow. First we saw some Indian dancing. Second we saw some Indian jewelry. Last we learned some Indian traditions. For example they wore deer skin clothes and they lived in teepees. We should treat Indians fairly and they would treat us fairly too.

Water

On Friday I went to Fernbank to see the water exhibit. I learned that Atlanta gets most of its water from the Chattahoochee River. I also learned that people in Africa play for fresh water. There are special merry go rounds that pump fresh water from a well. Then I learned that the U.S.A. uses the most water per person. Finally I learned that dams can cause less animals because it causes less sediment which disturbs their habitat. Let's all start giving fresh water to other countries and not take what we have for granted.

Me and my Graphs
I have been learning about graphs in my math, and it is fun. I decided to research and do a survey and make some graphs of my own. I made a bar graph of inches of rain in the past 4 months. I made a picto graph of my friends' favorite ice cream flavors. I made a pie chart of stolen bases in my baseball game. I also made a line plot of home runs in the 2010 MLB postseason. I love graphs. How about you?

My Trip to Disney World
Last Friday my family went to Disney! We got up at five A.M. and I was so tired - yawn! Once we got there I ran a 400 meter race at the Wide World of Sports. Then we went to shop at the Expo. Finally we got to the house and my family came (Auntie Amanda, Meg, Big Daddy, and Gama). Day 1 was awesome!

The next day was also fun. I got to sleep in. I also got to swim. It was Saturday so I got to watch some football! My family ran a race so I got to stay home with Big Daddy and Gama. Day two was sweet!
The parks start here, on day 3. Part of my family left on Sunday (Auntie Amanda, Meg , and Gama). My family went to Epcot, and my favorite thing was Test Track. We got back and had pizza! I love Epcot!
The Finale was awesome! We went to Magic Kingdom. I did the The Triple Mountain Wammey (Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Thunder Mountain). We drove home and got home at one A.M. I love Disney!

Living the Old Life
Labor Day weekend we went to an 1850s farm in Tennessee, and they were having a county fair. I learned that it was very cold in the houses in winter because the only heat in the house was the fire. I also learned how to play cricket. I was so close to winning a pie eating contest! Next I learned how to play some 1850s games like toss the beanbag in the squash, Rolly Hole, and marble guessing, and I won a prize! We also saw animals like oxen, sheep, pigs, and a few more. At the county fair I learned that people in the 1850s had to work a lot.

Really Cool Books

Carole Marsh Mysteries are awesome! So far I have read three. My favorite one is the Mystery in New York City. I like them because the kids are my age. I also like them because the characters travel and solve mysteries. For example, the mystery in New York was that somebody stole Lady Liberty's torch. I love Carole Marsh mysteries, and I hope I read some more.

What I Learned in my Devotional.
I've learned a lot in my devotional. I learned that our lives are a mess without God. My favorite verse is Philippians 4:4-7. It's about always being joyful. My favorite story is "Undeserved Reward." It taught me that we should have to die for our sins but Jesus did it for us. I do this first thing in the morning. I like it because it talks about the way we should act. Let's all read the Bible more.

Regions Of The U.S.A.
There are six reigons in the U.S.A. The southeast is where I live. In the northeast the indian tribes' names were Algonquin and the Iroquois. The middle west has the Mississippi River and two more. The biggest state in the southwest is, drumroll please... Texas! The western United States is made up of two reigons,The Pacific and The Rocky Mountains. Remember there are only six reigons!

Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales.

In reading we are learning about the Grimm brothers and their Fairy Tales. First we read their biography. I learned they were German. It was very intriguing. Then we read Rumpelstiltskin. He was so greedy.

Finally we read Hansel and Gretel, and their stepmother was so mean! She scolded them and sent them to the woods.

I hope we read some more!

New School Year.
The first few days of homeshool were weird and fun. It was weird because we were at home but it was not summer. It was fun because we went to the Atlanta History Center. We also made a word wall. This year will be awesome.

I took all these pictures at the Atlanta History Center.
Best Summer Ever
My summer was busy and fun. First my baseball team came in second in the entire state!
Then I spent the night at some of my friends' houses.
